SMCV Cultural Night 2025 – A Celebration of Unity, Heritage & Community Spirit

Assalamu Alaikum Warahmathullahi Wabarakathuhu,

The Sri Lankan Muslim Community of Victoria (SMCV) is delighted to share the success of our Cultural Night 2025, held in Truganina. Alhamdulillah, the event brought together families, youth, elders, and well-wishers for a beautiful evening celebrating our rich Sri Lankan heritage, traditions, and unity.

This year’s program was a remarkable milestone, with over 500 people participating — the highest turnout ever recorded for an SMCV community event. The overwhelming attendance reflects the growing strength, unity, and involvement of our community here in Victoria.

The evening featured traditional Sri Lankan food, cultural showcases, children’s performances, fun activities, and a memorable atmosphere filled with joy, learning, and togetherness. Attendees enjoyed reconnecting with familiar faces, meeting new families, and strengthening the bonds that make our community special.

We are humbled by the positive feedback received from many community members following the event. Your appreciation and encouragement inspire us to continue organising meaningful programs that uplift, empower, and connect our community.

SMCV extends its heartfelt thanks to:

All families and individuals who attended

Everyone who supported, encouraged, and stood by us

All community members who contributed in various ways

And all those who helped share the message of unity and culture

May Allah (SWT) bless our community, strengthen our bonds, and reward everyone who contributed towards the success of this beautiful gathering.

Please enjoy the photo gallery below showcasing some of the wonderful moments from the evening.

Jazakallahu Khairan.
